Bones, broken
A broken bone, or fracture, is usually treated through stabilizing and immobolizing the affected bone. Casts, splints and pins all help keep the bone in place until the broken ends hela and join together.
Treatment Plan for Bones, broken
Herbalists often recommend herbal mineral tonics to aid in the healing of broken bones. Horsetail is especially recommended due to its high natural silica content, which aids in calcium assimilation and utilization. Comfrey contains allantoin which stimulates the production of new tissue, but it also contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids which are stressful to the liver. Thus, comfrey is not recommended during pregnancy or nursing. The leaf can be used for up to 2 or 3 weeks once or twice a year, but plantain leaf, which also contains allantoin and no pyrrolizidine alkaloids, can be used as a safe substitute.
