Affects
Poplar buds warm the respiratory system, promote circulation and healing, and can lower inflammation because of the salicin derivative they contain. Poplar bud preparations are used for bronchitis, coughs, and lung congestion. They are effective as a gargle for laryngitis and sore throat. In addition to salicin derivatives, the buds contain antispasmodic sesquiterpenes.
Poplar has a taste of BITTER, ACRID and a temperature of WARM.
