Credentials & Declarations
To all prospective patients,
Thank you for your interest in my online clinical practice. I’m looking forward to working with you as a primary medical provider in the state of California. Acupuncture license AC5048. In other states, I am not a primary medical provider by law, but have many resources to support you in your healing process.
I was licensed in 1995 after training at Five Branches Institute and at the Tierra Clinic, both in Santa Cruz, California. After passing the state board exam I followed up with training under Dr. Chen and others at the Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China. After these invaluable hands-on experience I spent 10 years as a science undergraduate student, including 7 years at UC Berkeley for a doctorate degree.
After 30 years in the dietary supplement Industry as a researcher and consultant for a number of dietary supplement and herb companies for sourcing, extraction, and the uses and formulation of medicinal herbs, I have gained an extensive knowledge of the latest scientific studies including clinical trials on herbs and many dietary supplement ingredients as wide-ranging as vitamins, minerals, special ingredients, and of course herbs used in many cultures around the world or healing.
This experience and training helps with my recommendations of the most effective herbal, nutritional, and other dietary supplements for disease and symptom prevention and for healing and maintaining health.
I’m offering this brief summary of my background and experience so you can make an informed decision to work with me. I don’t tend to focus on treating disease, but rather promote working with the body’s healthy processes for helping you to create a state of balance and health in your body to prevent/remove symptoms and disease, and to maintain a state of optimum health.
For more information about me, you can read my resume, explore my website, follow me on Facebook, and Instagram.
Sincerely,
Dr. Christopher Hobbs, Ph.D.
